Rain, Glorious Rain

Are chickens quiet on long rainy days? We will find out.

Marguerite laid her second egg yesterday; it was like Christmas when I got home and opened the coop door. One perfect pint-sized one-eighth of an omelet. It’ll be a week before I can get the fry pan ready.

  1. My chicks got jilted out of treats. It was dark, lightening and pouring when I went to open their coop door. My greens garden is on the other side of the yard so they didn’t get their daily bunch of lettuce & kale.
They are going to be P.O.d when I get home! Rain was much needed though. My sinuses have been out of control with all this pollen.
